Abstinence kinda sprouted from religion. Churches say, dont have sex till your hitched. Abstinence is the only way to stay safe. But, um Mary from the bible, she was a virgin...and she had a kid...and she still went to heaven right? so in the bible, i guess it says, abstinence is only 99.9999% effective...right? I am so tired of closed minded people that run around thinking the best way to prevent pregnancies is to sit there, make teens sign a pledge, and then not teach them about sex. WAKE UP PEOPLE! WE NEED TO KNOW HOW TO PROTECT OURSELF THROUGH REAL KNOWLEDGE, NOT A PIECE OF PAPER THAT "PREVENTS US FROM HAVING SEX"!!!
