Can't talk about everything with my best friend!

Have you ever felt that awkward feeling when you can’t even talk to your best friend about something bothering you?  I feel it almost every day.  My best friend is also the girl that I like.  Even though she is my best friend it always seems like if I bring it up our very close relationship will be done.  I love that her and I are best friends but she will never be my girlfriend.  We always talk about hooking up and sex but never do it.  The main reason why she wont do anything with me is that we are best friends yet she calls me hot all the time.  The other main reason why she won’t do anything with me is because I have never hooked up with anyone before.  I get made fun of for that a lot but my come back every time is that I don’t want to just go after any girl I am waiting for the perfect girl.  Of course when I find the perfect girl she is my best friend.  I am never able to bring the topic up of liking my bets friend because the next day will not be good. 

            It seems like I want too much out of my best friend and can’t get it.  I don’t even have the courage to say something to her about it.  I also don’t understand why it is so important to hook up.  Everyone that I know has hooked up with random people I don’t believe that is right.  I believe you need to wait until you find the right person.
