Can I get condoms for free? How?
Yes, sometimes you can get condoms for free. Most sexual and reproductive health care clinics provide free condoms, although some will ask you to pay a reduced-cost for them, such as a dollar for three condoms. For example, Planned Parenthood clinics sell their condoms at a reduced rate. You don't even need an appointment to get condoms at a clinic! Just call first and ask if they have some available for free or low-cost.
Condoms are usually free on college campuses, too. Call the on-campus health services and ask where you can walk in and pick up free or low-cost condoms.
You can find a sexual health clinic by looking in your local Yellow Pages under "family planning" or "clinics." You can also find one here, or call 1-800-230-PLAN (7526) to be connected automatically to the Planned Parenthood health center nearest you.
