Can my body image change?

Yup! Not only can it change, but it does change. Your body image can change from day to day and it can change from year to year. Sometimes you wake up in the morning and feel great! Other days, you just don’t feel so good. Also, you can have an unhealthy body image for a long time and, as you grow older and change, your body image can become healthy.

A key to a healthy body image is to think positively. When you have one of those bad starts to your day, remember that tomorrow could bring a great day! Everyone has good days and bad days—that’s totally natural. Also, if you feel you have an unhealthy body image now, time can change how you think of yourself and your body, especially if you learn to focus on your strengths and on healthy things that make you feel good about yourself on the inside and on the outside.
