What does body acceptance mean?
Body acceptance means being OK with who you are on the outside and inside. It means having a good life—feeling good, taking care of yourself—no matter what size you are, instead of just focusing on losing weight.
Body acceptance is about saying NO to twisted images of beauty and our cultural obsession with thinness and discrimination based on body size, and about celebrating the beauty of diverse body sizes. People who choose body acceptance can still be really into health and fitness and looking good, but they choose to stop wasting time with obsessive diets and exercise and decide to live their life to the fullest!
