What is a urinary tract infection (UTI)?
When bacteria or germs get into the urethra, a woman might get a urinary tract infection (UTI) or bladder infection. Symptoms include feeling like you have to pee without being able to, or feeling burning while peeing. A UTI is easily treated with an antibiotic prescribed by a doctor or health care provider.

Some soaps are so harsh that they can cause irritation in a
girl's vulva. I haven't heard of soap causing an UTI, but I
have heard of it causing painful irritation. Bacteria causes
an UTI as fas as any medical definition I've ever heard:

Generally women get UTIs and they get it from transferring
bacteria in poop onto their vulvas. This can accidently
happen with just small traces of poop when a girl wipes
after going to the bathroom, which is why it is really
important to wipe from front to back. It can also happen
during sex when her genitals are wet and bacteria can easily
relocate from her anus to her vulva. More at:
