What's the average size of a penis?

Penises come in all shapes and sizes. But the average length of an erect, adult penis is between 5 and 7 inches. Because teen boys' bodies are growing through puberty, there is no accurate average size for younger guys.

Most guys reach their full adult penis size by the time they get into their early 20s. A penis that is small when soft (flaccid) gets much bigger when erect, but a penis that's longer when soft won't grow as much when it's hard.

A lot of guys get hung up on the size of their penis. But the truth is, size really doesn't matter that much when it comes to being able to give or receive pleasure during sex.

Just like some people are attracted to large or small breasts, others are attracted to large or small penises. Pleasing a partner is not about the size and shape of body parts, but rather the way they're used and learning what pleases your partner.

It sounds like you are completely within the average range,
so no need to worry. I encourage you to look around at some
of the FAQs we have about size on the site, and read some of
the comments the girls have written in. You will find that
the size of a guys' penis is often not that big of a deal to
them.

im 14,and while non-erect,i am 2.7 inches average,but while
erect i am 5.5 inches average. is this a normal size for my
age,im bout 14 1/2,and im afraid be around the girl i really
like because if she wants to have sex,i might be to small
for her since she has had sex with 17 year olds

I'm a girl and have been with a few guys and this is the
truth, it makes no difference how big or small you are. not
when it comes to the girl -uh- apriciating you. be confident
in yourself, like yourself for you, as you are and the girls
will like you too. we mostly just want a guy to treat us
well, care about us, if you can do that you don't need to
worry about a thing. my younger brother is 14 and that's
what i'd tell him...not that he'd ask me, obviously.

im a girl and i don't think it matters as long as our gf
luvs and stuff. girls aren't like guys we understand it a

No...there is nothing wrong. You are still very young and
your body (and your penis) still have many more years of
growing to do. The most important thing that you can do is
love your body exactly how it is, and learn to love the
changes it is going to go through. Be proud of who you are
as a person. That is what a will be important when you do
get a girlfriend!

Wow...super technical question. Again, every guy is
different and will grow at a different rate. If you are
looking for an average, the average circumference of a full
grown erect penis is 4-5 inches and the average diameter is
1.25-1.6 inches. These figures come from the Kinsey study
done in the late 1940's. I hope that helps!

This is a stereotype that I am sure many people have heard,
but is not true. There is no correlation between a person's
race and their penis size. It is unfair to say that all
people of any particular group all have one trait. We are
all individuals with different bodies and different features
and we should learn to love and respect our bodies and
ourselves as they are.
