Some penises curve and some are straight. A curved penis may just mean that there's more spongy tissue on one side of the shaft than the other. That causes the penis to bend when it fills with blood and becomes erect.

Only if the penis is bent in the shape of an L should it cause any pain or problem with sexual functioning. If you have any pain when you have an erection, or if the curve gets worse, check it out with a doctor to be sure you don’t have further pain or problems.
