Am I too young to fall in love?

There’s no doubt that young teens and even pre-teens often feel like they’re in love. And, it’s definitely possible to feel attracted and affectionate toward another person, even at a young age.

But, as you grow, your needs change. You become attracted to different qualities in a person. You learn what you like about some people and what you don’t like. So, as you get older, the people you’re attracted to will likely change. Plus, when you’re young, love interests are usually about practicing and experimenting. You’re learning how to relate to someone you’re attracted to.

Older teens and young adults want to feel connected to another person, and be understood by that person. In more mature relationships, the sexual part is also about connection and intimacy, not just feeling physical pleasure.

I agree with you. I'm 12 and I like one of my freinds
sister, shes sweet nice cute and mature(I'm real mature for
my age every one I know says that). The only thing is shes
15. We were at camp togeather with some other friends and we
spent every chance we could togeather. All of our friend
said that we were perfect for each other(I know what your
thinking right now, this guy is young and he must be shout
and unmature, but im 5-4" and real mature)I do agree with
you I think im in love

i may only be 14 but i kno i love a guy. hes older then me
and no matter how hard i try i can never get over how
amazing he is. i will always love him but we have found out
that we just cant be we fight to much and we just dont get
along. and neither of us are ready to have a relationship
like i want. i love him with my life and just want him to be
happy. and as long as hes happy im happy. but i will never
get over my feelings for him. cuz he is the most important
thing in my life.

I really don't think love really changes as you get older. I
believe that your feelings of love remain the same your
whole teenage and adult life. When you're younger I'm sure
feelings of love are different when you're in elementary and
junior high, but that's obvious, but when you're in high
school and feeling love, and you feel the butterflies and
you feel so happy when you see them, i don't think that
changes.

I'm 18 and I've been with my boyfriend for 2 and a half
years. Currently we live together. No one believed we'd stay
together (Especially since I lost my virginity to him) but I
love him, and never think of anyone else. I think you can
love someone when you're young. Or, at least grow and learn
to love =)

I've truly fallen in love with someone. Not lust, love. I
wouldn't mind marrying them, or starting a family with him.
He is gentle with me and is understanding. If he truly feels
the same way, I'd gladly continue a life with him. I get
worried so quickly about him. Even if he doesn't want to be
with me for life, I'll still be his good friend and I'll
never leave his side.

There is no limit for an age where you fall in love.
EVeryone is diffrent, and so is their time for love. I have
been in love before, but when u get older, I think you get
to understand what love is, and how you know which is real
or fake.

I love my boyfriend and all but I am so scared to have sex
with him.I mention us haviing sex all the time but I dont
know .When i think about it I get a little upset because
many people have tole me when you have sex for the first
time it really hurts and I do not wnat it to hurt.I want to
enjoy having sex with the one I love. But sometimes I
question my self if i am to young to be in love but i want
to spent my life with him.He is my everything

I think that lust and friendship are often mistaken for
love. There are some people who are too emotionally immature
to know love. Despite this, I believe that true love can
come at a young age if the person is emotionally mature. I
thought I was in love several times. Now I am almost 18, and
even though some say I'm too young.. I am in love. I know
what it means to love now, commitment, trust, friendship and
giving.
