Can you get pregnant by having dry sex?
It’s possible in certain situations, but not likely. If a couple keeps their clothes on, the risk of pregnancy or disease is practically zero. Sperm, viruses and bacteria can’t swim through fabric.
With no clothes, dry sex gets way more risky. If a guy cums right outside the opening to the girl’s vagina, then those swift and strong sperm can swim in, find an egg and start a pregnancy. And some infections, such as herpes, can spread through skin-to-skin contact, even if there’s no body fluids swapped.
The other dry-sex danger is getting carried away and jumping into sexual intercourse, without being prepared. That’s why you need to set firm limits and stop if you feel like you might give in and go beyond those limits. That’s especially true if you’re having dry sex without any clothes. Both partners need to promise to stop before things go too far.
