Am I still a virgin if I…?
Many people want to know if they’re still virgins after they have done this or that. But the truth is, different people define virginity in different ways. The important thing is to stay true to yourself. That means taking your time to make decisions about sex that are best for you – not anyone else. Base these decisions on your own beliefs, values and feelings.
Try to worry less about labeling and more about what’s important to you. If there are sexual things you want to “save” until you’re older or married, then set limits and stick to them.

Many girls do say that it hurts the first time they have
vaginal sex. This can be due to the hymen. If your hymen
is still in tact, the pain you are feeling, could be the
hymen tearing. Another cause for pain can be lack of
lubrication. Using a personal water based lubricant can
help if this is the case. Also, sometimes, if you are just
nervous, your muscles may tighten up, which can make it
difficult for the penis to be inserted. I hope that helps a
little!

i kind of want to get it over with &experience this feeling
all my friends are talking about. so, if i were to have sex
with a good friend or a past ex just for funn &experience
for the future, would it count as a first? or would it count
as practice until i'm in love &i want to move further into
the relationship.
i don't know. i really want to try it,
but only count my first time as the time where i'm in love
with someone. i'm confused. ):

No, there is nothing wrong at all. Many times, the bleeding
associated with having sex for the first time is due to the
hymen breaking. The hymen is a thin piece of tissue that
partially covers the vaginal opening. However, for many
girls, the hymen is broken before having sex for any number
of reasons which can include using a tampon or riding a
bike. It has nothing to do with the size of your ex
boyfriend's penis.
I'M really not sure.

Many people associate the breaking of the hymen with sexual
intercourse, but the truth is, your hymen may have been
broken before you ever had intercourse. Simple things like
masturbation or using a tampon can also cause the hymen to
break. To find out for sure, you can ask your doctor or
gynecologist during your next appointment. You can also use
your own finger to examine the opening of your vagina for a
thin membrane or use a mirror to check it out yourself, but
that can be difficult.
How do I know?

I've had sex and it hurt, but not as bad as everyone said it
would. I don't know, but when I had sex, I didn't bleed. How
exactly do you know if your hymen is broken?

There is no need to feel weird. Due to many changes in
lifestyle in our society, it is very common for a girls
hymen to be broken before her first sexual encounter. If
you use a mirror and a flash light you can look at your
vaginal opening and see if you can see a piece of skin
partially covering the vaginal opening. If so, it may be
your hymen. Here is a diagram that will show you what you
should be looking for:
