Why is it so much harder for teens to become parents?

Taking on the huge responsibility of caring for another person is a big, scary job, no matter how old you are. But, it’s easier for adult couples. They tend to be more settled and stable and be in committed relationships. They’ve usually finished school, have decent jobs and other family supports. These things help a lot when it comes to raising kids.

Teens, on the other hand, are still growing up themselves. So, they have to raise a child, while also finishing school and figuring out where they’re headed in life. Teenage couples are usually less stable, because they’re still deciding who they are and what kind of person they want to marry. This all makes teen parenting a difficult – but not impossible – job.

Amen. As a recent single parent, it's very hard to raise my
son, go to school, and take care of the baby that I'm
currently carrying. I don't know what I would do without the
help of three very important men in my life.

Very well written...

It's not impossible... it's just difficult... and very-very
time consuming. So hard, tired all the time, words are
indescriable. Espcecially being a teen parent... =/ Nicki
