I’m pregnant. How do I tell my parents?
Find a time and place where you can talk privately with your parents. You can bring a friend or other adult along to support you. Start by saying you have something really important – and difficult – to tell them. You can also say that it’s taken a lot of courage for you to be honest with them. Then, just tell them.
Be prepared for your parents to freak. This is going to be shock and maybe a disappointment to them. They’ll probably get angry and upset. So brace yourself. Give them some time to get over their initial reaction. After a while, most parents want to support and help their child. Often, they’ll do whatever it takes to make sure you are healthy and safe.

No doubt this is a difficult thing to tell your parents,
especially when you are young. If you are afraid of what
they will do, have a friend or other trusted adult with you
when you tell them. Remember, this is going to be difficult
and probably shocking to them, so they may be very upset at
first, and need time to cool down. If you are afraid they
may kick you out, talk to a teacher or counselor at school
and try to get some emergency housing options before you
talk to your parents.

If I ever tell my parents I am scared they would do
something bad on me or my boyfriend like sending me to a
place to keep me away from people or they would kick me out!
I think is very hard to tell parents about that even when u
r young!
RE: what will her dad do to me???

In Utah, the age a person can legally consent to having sex
is 17. This means that it doesn't matter if a person's
parents are aware and approve, of them having sex, it is
still illegal for anyone under the age of 17 to have sex in
that state. So, to answer your question, her father could
try to seek legal action against you if he wanted to. Also,
without the pill, I hope that you are using condoms to help
reduce the risk of unwanted pregnancy and STD's if you
choose to continue to have sex.

i turned 19 in november and my girlfriend will be 17 in may.
we are afraid of what her dad will do if she gets pregnant
and how to tell him. both her parents know we are having sex
and i live with her family. we live in Ut. and her parents
won't take her to get the pill or even to the dr. for an
exam. because her cycles are not regular. so what can he do
to me? Worried in Utah.

Im scared if i ever did get pregnant, i would have no way to
tell my parents. My mom would freak, and never trust me
again. and my dad would go after the guy. I would really
want them to help me out with my health and the baby. I
would need to know how to tell them that i know what to do
and, i can be responsible.
