A sexually transmitted infection caused by bacteria. Symptoms in men include a discharge from the penis and increased need to urinate.  For women, there may be a discharge from the vagina, but many women (and some men too) will not have any symptoms.  Gonorrhea can be treated and cured with antibiotics. Also referred to as "the clap" or  "the drip."
