Three Things You Can Do to Change Sex Education

1. Tell friends about Sex, Etc.

Do you think teens have the right to know the honest truth about sex and sexuality? If your answer is yes, then tell your friends about Sex, Etc.'s campaign to make sure teens get honest sex ed and why you care!

  • You can give friends a subscription to Sex, Etc. as a gift.
  • You can write about sexual health issues in your school paper.
  • You can write to your elected officials about your opinion.
  • You can talk to a parent or friend about this issue today.

2. Make sure you can get the Sex, Etc. magazine and Web site at your school!

If your school or home computer uses filtering software that blocks Sexetc.org, then you can get some tips for unblocking it from Kameron, 17, in his story Internet Filters Keep Teens in the Dark. The bottom line is that filters should not block legitimate sexual health information.

If your school doesn't get the magazine Sex, Etc., then let them know they should! It is easy to subscribe to Sex, Etc. and if a school really can't afford it then it is free. Check out our subscription page here. If you need some inspiration from teenswho fought to get Sex, Etc. in their school and won, then check out Mayara's story.
