As females, we’re told to stay away from our privates because they’re “dirty” or “wrong.” We’re condemned to poor sex education and even encouraged to believe that anything that feels good is “evil.” “It’s evil and disgusting and perverse and unnatural and ungodly,” they say. In some countries, they even remove the clitorises from their female children. All the while, girls’ voices are being repressed, and we’re made to believe that perhaps we are evil because of our urges.

But you know what? The double standard has to change sometime, with someone, and it might as well start with me. I’ll shout it from the rooftops: I’m comfortable with myself. I masturbate, and I kiss and caress and touch and (ahem) suck guys. And I’m damn proud of it. I haven’t had vaginal sex, but I’m not necessarily waiting until I get married. When the right man comes along, I’ll be prepared with condoms and lubricant.

im still a virgin and am damn proud but yeah. after a while
you feel the want to experiment...and honestly what is more
safe than masturbation. there is no chance at pregnancy or
STD and you know yourself better than any guy. so why not?
there is nothing wrong and i think every girl should at
least try it one time or more. just to know what its like :)

Finally someone has broken out and said the truth. I started
touching myself in 7th grade. I'm now 18 and knowing what I
want and how i like things has helped me in my
relationships. Cause let's face it, some men are clueless
about a woman's body. Chicas, we should know what we want
and how we want it and be gosh darn proud of it!

i dont masturbate myself i guess it just doesnt do the trick
but i totally agree with the fact that guys can sleep around
as much as they like but as soon as a girl has any sexual
contact shes a hoe or whatever else people get called. its
wrong and plain out sexiest! us girls deserve the same
respect as males! their no better then us!

The other day my friend (not a virgin) and I (virgin) were
talking about sex and what not. I made a comment about
orgasms, and she was like, "How could you have an orgasm
without sex?" and I was like, "Uhm, what do you think, duh?"
She was disgusted and said that has never and would never
do try. I couldn't believe she (non-virgin) said that. I
felt so horrible, like I did something wrong, when I hadn't.
I don't see how people can have healthy sex lives without
even knowing THEMSELVES first.

My parents try and act as if they're all accepting of
talking about sex with me, but I know that everytime I even
hold hands with my boyfriend, they are preparing to call me

I live in cali and to fit in we have to dress like complete

I agree with what you said and somehow we do need to band
together. What can be done about changing the way people
think about us and sexual pleasure? I love guys but they
can just be naive to what we think about and some of them do
sometimes make you feel slutty about sexual things. We
masturbate just like guys, we want sex just like guys, we
watch porn just like guys, we want to be pleased sexually
just like guys; why do they think we are so different?

t be honest. i masterbate too ! im not ashamed that i do it
! and i sure the hell aint scared to admit it. im proud.
girls can't always get the pleasure they want from a guy so
why not do it yourself ? its a god thing some girls, like in
your case, are independant. it just goes to show that we
don't need a man to pleasure us! and i think thats a good
thing.
